1967 Coronet R/T
« on: January 07, 2007 - 12:07:21 PM »
Although i no longer own the car, Jerry is well on the way to putting her back better than when new. I had hoped for Jerry to buy the Coronet and be the one to administer a nice resto and that's exactly how things are turning out

The Coronet is now at Gerry's 'barn' where the wet sanding will happen. Also the original motor is mostly assembled and painted with POR-15. The pics really don't do justice  The rear still has both the 3.23 and sure grip tags intact as well  :)

Gee, maybe someday i'll own a barn too :smokin: :cooldancing:

I saw a 67' coronet in a kind of orange metallic color at a big car show, it was PERFECT for the lack of a better word, very sharp looking cars!

Motor, trans, front suspension reunited with car...rear end cleaned, rebuilt, and reinstalled. The two tags were still on it all these years :clapping: I knew Jerry would be the right person to have this car and it's turning out that i was right.
If anyone is into numbers and special partson these cars, yes that is a Hemi radiator part number and brake booster bracket. The original owner relayed the story to me (during the short time I owned it) that he'd gone into the local dealership here in Montgomery to order a 67 Coronet R/T with a Hemi and air. The salesman takes the order, the car begins to be built with the Hemi booster, radiator, springs, brakes, etc., and when the motor is to be installed it's time to tell the buyer that A/C does not come on a Hemi. So a 440 is installed. Both Jerry and I agree that Dr.Pugh signing a statement stating how he ordered the car would help authenticate hoe so many Hemi specific items wound up on an R/T 440

She`s looking beatiful . Aren`t you regretting that you sold her?
I would love to have those valve covers for my BB Fastback. Seems that they are really hard to find.

None at all, Jerry was who I was hoping would wind up with this car as 66-67 B-bodys are his 'thing' and he has the resources to take care of the Coronet properly :grinyes:
