I'm not sure what colors were offered but with pink a fusia (hot pink) bumble bee might look good IMO.  It may not stand out as much compared to the black.

White may be nice too!  Depends what other colors are on the car.

I got this from another site, not sure if it's correct, I don't see yellow  :dunno: :

"The stock stripe for the R/T Challenger was the "bumble bee" stripe. This was painted on with acrylic enamel. This stripe was painted across the rear quarter panel and trunk. The big stripe was 5.25" and the thin one was .25". The gap between the two is 5/16 inch. You could get this stripe painted in White, Black, Bright Red, Bright Blue, and Green."
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Not Challengers but to give you an idea of the color combo... from http://pantherpink.com/cars_a.htm .  Didn't see any E-bodies with a bumble bee there.

Pink car
Black hood blackout, strobes, and tail panel.

the BB Stripe in black and the blacked out tail panel will cause a loss in definition of the rearend.

As this will be my wife's car and she wants the BB stripe, I was looking for an otion..

a different shade of pink might work, not sure how Plum Crazy would clash- lol- I mean look.

I may have to take the tail panel back to body color...I just can not see it looking quite right...even if the BB Stripe is Glossy...

I'm not sure if the listed dimensions that I posted are the most correct.  From the link you had to the other post it seems close but not exactly the same.

The most acurate is probably the ones from the factory itself that Barry has listed.  I would contact him for specs and a better picture.

Only black or white bumble-bees' were available for FM3 R/T's, if you ordered the longditudal stripe instead, then you could get these colors or the 'magenta' stripe as seen on 'super blue 72' post.

Ah-ha, "Magenta" is the name of the color....that would be different and cool in a bumble bee!

Mauve, Magenta, Dusty Rose, and about a half dozen more names that only a man of interior design could tell apart...lol but I getcha!

Thanks for the info.  this is on a 73 so we have already crossed into not quite correct land..But I would like to stick to Real colors Mopar Used...if it was available what could have been ordered...etc.

Basically since the Bee stripes were painted on you could order virtually any color, so you could have ordered a Pimk car with a B5 blue stripe  :puke:
I would paly with Photo shop & try a lot of combos , something Odd like Gold or silver might look awesome
