power steering pump
« on: January 09, 2007 - 02:35:16 PM »
I need to rebuild my power steering pump and the auto parts store says there are two different kits ... one for a Chrysler pump and one for a Saginaw pump.  Anybody know the difference ... should I be able to tell the difference between the two once I remove it? :clueless:

Chrysler pump has a round flat round cap, the Saginaw has a ribbed cap and the can is a little smaller , looks like a GM pump.........

In 70, you could have had either. If you have a pic handy, that would help us.
