Interesting study.  I've found wallets several times...always returned them with the contents still in tact. :grinyes:

It's nice to see that there are more honest people in America than dishonest!

"Golden Rule:  Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

It took place in a medium-sized American city named "Belleville, Illinois".  I wonder what would happen if it took place in a bigger city, like Boston, NY, or LA?  :dunno:

Not to start any trouble, but did you notice more woman picked up the wallet, then men?

It's a woman thing....    :grinyes:   Remember the intro to The Jetson's?  George tried to hand his wife Jane a few bucks, but she grabbed the wallet and bailed........    :stirpot:    Looks like nothin' gonna change in the future.....     :roflsmiley:   :smilielol:      :cooldancing:

I think it's more due to having to pick up after everyone in the house.  It's just natural to see something laying on the floor and pick it up.

That was an interesting study. The race thing really stood out for me.  :screwy:

Did you also notice that more women returned the wallets??  86% of women to 61% of men returned the wallets.

I left my wallet one time at a restaurant and the Waitress called me and told me!  She found my number on a receipt for my wifes jewelry!  My wife of course, said it was a good thing I bought it.  I got it back and all the money/cards etc was in there(200bucks+)AmexM/cVisa etc.

When I was about 11 years old I went to TN with my Mother to go to Graceland.  We stopped to eat at a little hole in the wall diner in Memphis for some lunch and I left my wallet there.  I didn't have any ID yet as I wasn't old enough to drive.  I didn't even notice that I had left my wallet there until at least 4 hours had passed.  I thought for sure that the couple of hundred bucks I had saved up was long gone.  When we went back to the diner the guy behind the counter was so excited and waved me down.  He had stayed after his shift had ended hoping I would come to claim the wallet.  Every penny was there.  I have found many wallets since then, once I found one containing over $1000 cash.  I always returned the wallets with all of it's contents to the rightful owner.  I remember how happy I was when that honest employee returned my money, and could never keep something that wasn't mine.

Rev...I love your coment on having to pick up after everyone!  So very true!   :clapping:
