I have always wanted a set of crager SST's since high school I found a set new in the box that have been in storage for over 20 years and look new.Here is my question....they where purchased for a 1973 Mustang  Mach 1 and the size of the wheels are 15X8 and 14X6 I called the local Les Schwab and they said they would fit but what about the 14X6 size in the front. My car has the 14X7 Ralley wheels now. Any opinions ??

6" wheel shouldn't creat any problems but will limit tire sizes The finish on the SSTs I see on eBay look questionable. Appears these are available new still. http://wayneswheels2000.com/CragarWheel.html

I would go for it...the size should not make that big a diff unless you are maxing out the 7" now...

Unless you had your wheels special made, how on earth do you have a 14X7 Rally wheel? I thought 14X6 were the widest they made in the 14" variety. In any event, a Ford bolt pattern will fit a Mopar, but you need to know the backspacing. It should be 4-4.5" to work on your car.

some aftermarket ford wheels have a smaller center hole than the same wheel for a mopar. I have a set of crager ss on my '74 that were for a ford. the dust cap on the front contacts the wheel and I had to do some modifications to attach the new center cap

What is the backspacing on the 15 x 8? I would be more concerned about those fitting than the 14's. Also not to knock Les Schwab, but they are a. over priced, and b. usually don't really know what they are talking about. My brother is currently working at one of their shops and when he bought his polished americans for his challenger from them, it cost more there with his employee discount than from americas tire. I have had a lot of bad luck with them, and know a bunch of people who have had nothing but problems.

They would be repros.  My car had 14x7 Rallyes on it when I got it.

I agree  Got JOB sweet looking car.. I guess I made a mistake on the size of the rallys
on my car I just figured they where 14X7's are the 14X6 Stock??  My car is all original so what ever the stock 14's where I guess that is what they are... so now we are down to the back spacing on the 15's... Oh and where the auction will end We will see.

    I put 14-7 ford magnum style on my 70 challenger. Looks almost the same as the old crappy 14-5.5. They dont have chrome spokes .  I used my trim rings and center caps. I think i ground a little bit to clear disc hub. I cant use my bubble balancer(hole to small) so i use a cheap store bubble balancer.

   
   There dirt cheap of 74 cougars and make the car look wider.

  Just dont admit there off a ferd.

I think the Ford and Mopar, if I'm not mistaken, look pretty close on the outside IMO. 

When I called Summit racing a while back ago, the Magnum 500 rim was the same for Ford and Mopar, difference being the center cap when you order.

I used a set of Ford Chrome Magnum 500's on the old Fury III, they are now bolted to the Challenger with the 60-series tire still on them.  They look awesome, and work great.  The bolt pat is the same, the width is 1/2" wider than the Mopar at 7", and I used the Mopar center caps.  As these are chrome, I do not need trim rings.

They are not mopar(look like em), not period correct, but they look awesome! This is not the best pic but the best shot of the rims, that I have on this computer...
