Black and Tor-red are both sweet colors.  Tor-Red should have a white interior IMO.

Ladies and Gentlemen:  I am  franticly searching for a paint scheme for my 73 Challenger.  Although this car did not come from the factory in burnt orange, I like it.  Please tell me about your favorite colors.  Hopefully you can help me decide.  My painter will start next week.
Go for the new Magnum Burnt orange. Looks great on an Ebody. My buddy (Dragfish) had an original burnt orange car. Couldn't find a formula for a mix anywhere. No longer available. So he opted for the new color and it looks awesome. He gets alot of compliments on the color.
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!

Problem is 72-4 Challengers don't look the same in any given color as other years or models. I have a'73 & maybe I'm over critcal  :blah:  but most of the more popular Mopar colors just don't work for me on the Frowning Challey. I'm lookin to go with a non original dark silver/gunmetal. :smokin:

I totally agree with you, but the 72-74 colours are aweful. We have a 74 Rallye and it's going to be Sublime or Panther Pink with a black interior (it's my wife's car, she gets to decide). Our car was originally red on white. A nice combo, just doesn't work for us.

I agree as stated, go triple black. They look tough, it's an 'original' colour for the year, and for resale it's the way to go. You can always sell a black car easily. Do the orange or the black, that's my 2 cents.

Or be radical and go Plum Crazy. Nobody has ever seen a purple Challenger....

Hmmmm...lately I've been liking Plum Crazy.....

Black with a burnt orange interior looks real luxuriuos, real classy.  I've seen a '70 Challenger set up like that and then a new Lexus in the same colors and they both look real classy IMO.

How do you think the Magnum Burnt Orange will look with a TX9 bumble beestripe and black vinal top?  Also has anyone used anything from House of Coulors?

Some type of stripe is almost a must, to brake up all that car.  I think it would look great.  Just my thoughts.  What color of interior are you planing on going with?

I think maybe one problem with the 72-4 is the body color on the header panel, if you noticed Goody's dad's was painted a dark argent & it seemed to soften the appearance of the front.

I really like Lite Gunmetal or Winchester Grey. I almost painted my 71 Challenger RT plum crazy when I restored it. I know now I would been sorry if I would of changed it from it's original color as it draws lots of attention like no other color I have ever had.
