Heat Shield
« on: January 16, 2007 - 07:12:40 AM »
my car has a heat shield under the trunk...exaughst pipe...
but only on the pass side...
A friend told me it was odd they had taken one off but not the other...
I am not sure if the car had but one...where can I find a drivers side...

used is fine, but while the fuel tank is out I would love to bolt one on.

What year and what engine did the car have originally?  How about the rear valence?  Cut outs?  :clueless:

best I can tell, it was a 318 single with no cutouts.

currently its a 340 dual with homemade cutouts

I would like to add the shield, but the cost is a bit much for a daily driver that I am fighting to get On the road.

Are you trying to make your car correct for the year or are you just worried about the heat on the paint?

just an item that I can easily install while the fuel tank is out.  I do not NEED the part, it did not come on This car. But I though I would look around this morning and see if there was one just laying around...all I have found was new and priced higher that I really care to spend ...

I would rather it be a correct part had this car come with it, even though I am sure it did not. Besides a little extra protection does not hurt my feelings..the car has been dualed this lond without a problem...
