What to do wacka do ?
« on: January 16, 2007 - 10:34:05 AM »
OK,  the wife decided that she has no use for her 1984 Fiero.  It has 16K miles and is in excellent condition.  I figure I can get 2 grand out of it, maybe more, maybe less.  Should I sell it and put the money to use or keep it for when the current beater I'm driving dies?  Where else can I find a car with 16K miles for 2 grand ?

With 16k miles, I am sure you could get more than $2k.  If you are not hurting for money, I would hold on to it until you need it because the prices of cars are not getting any cheaper.

That's wicked low miles for that car.  Is it a 4 cyl or V6?

Here's some wierd ideas.... could be fun!

Not hurting for the money, but could put it to good use.  I do have an LS-1 engine lying around that could go in it.
(J/K, it goes in my RX-7).  It's an 84 SE, black with grey interior, 4 speed.  Probably be cheap transportation if I keep it.

I was looking into that type of setup a few months back, talk about sleeper: 2600lbs + 400hp =  :burnout:

Super Blue,

Yep, seriously thinking about the RX-7 swap.  Granny's is the place to get the conversion kit.  I figure just a mild build will get 400HP and the 6-speed behind it will make driving it fun.  Won't need to beef up the suspension cause it's a vert.  Only thing is, there's 2 Mopars ahead of it.
