FK5 Paint Pics
« on: January 16, 2007 - 07:25:10 PM »
My 1970 Cuda 340 is about to be painted FK5 deep burnt orange. The body shop cut the fenders and it looks like they are using FK3 burnt orange which is darker than the FK5 but I'm not sure if my perception is due to the fading of the original paint. It would be great if I could see some pics from board members that have done their FK3 or FK5 paint jobs redone. If anyone needs my email its sadil340@hotmail.com. Thanks!

FK3 is lighter than FK5. The last digit of the paint codes are the hues, lightest is 1 and darkest is 9.

FK3 was not an available color on E-Bodies.

You can see some FK5 cars at this link;

You can also look at www.aarcuda.com  . Their FAQ section has color info and examples of most or all of them. Good luck. (either one is a very nice color).
