Fender Turn Signals & Hood Springs
« on: January 17, 2007 - 06:03:22 PM »
:burnout: OK guys I need some opinions. I have a '70 Challenger 440 Six-Pack. Pictures are on the newbie page. Thanks for all the help with getting info on the location of the fender mounted turn signals. Now :pullinghair: should I drill holes in these original R/T fenders to install these lights or not? I didn't come with them from the factory and I understand that they weren't available on the R/T as an option. I have a very nice correct pair and I really like the way they look but I don't want to hurt the value of this R/T. Yea or Nay?

:1zhelp: My hood spring assemblys are painted body color and I understand that that was not how it was done by Mother Mopar. Anyone know what the finish is supposed to be? Cad? Oxide? Bare? :dunno:

The hood spring / hinge assemblies were painted body color. Or were you refering to the pop up spring at the front maybe?  :dunno:

Personally, I would not add the fender top lights, there is no way for the driver to see the one on the passenger side over the hood.  ;)

VEEerry nice car you have there.  :2thumbs:

I have the turn signal indicators on my car, with a six-pack type hood scoop. My car originally had the light package, so they were there before modifications. I have no trouble seeing either indicator, but I am tall, so that might help me. In all honsesty, I would not do this to your car, unless you plan to keep this forever, and don't care about hurting it's value. Just my opinion. It is a neat option though. I LOVE it.  :grinyes:
