Speed TV's auction coverage!
« on: January 18, 2007 - 07:59:27 AM »
I thought Tuesdays coverage was bad for MOPAR lovers. Just about every time a Mopar came on the block Speed would cut to a brake. Twards the end they did show a few Mopars go over but very few. Last night I watched 4 1/2 hours and in the time I saw a Viper about 3 hours in. Just a little a 69 RR went accross. That was it. I didn't watch the last 1/2 hour as I had all the corvetts, cameros and mustangs I could take! I was totally discusted with the coverage. Did anyone else feel the same?

I agree, Some cars all they showed was the bidders, who cares. I watch to see all the beautiful cars. They missed a nice red cuda and a really cnice green cuda. I was ticked. Show the cars first.  :villagers:

I agree. I printed a list of the mopars so I could watch as they came up and this happened alot. I bet they dont do it when the hemi cudas or challengers--or the pair of hemi wing cars come up.

Stay tuned Friday and Saturday, you will see plenty of Mopars. But you have to remember not everyone who is watching cares about Mopars. There are lots of Chevy, Ford, and Street Rod guys out there. 63-67 Vettes are high dollar sellers, and they will always show the rare ones.

I totally agree but you would think in 4 1/2 hours they could show more that 2 Mopars. I sent Speed an email last night before going to bed. I'm sure when the HEMI Cudas come they will show them but I would like to see some lesser car also. They seem to show enough Vets and Cameros.

Tuesday--out of 146 cars only 18 Mopars went through. Wednesday out of 226 cars only 24 were Mopars. 1-- 70 440 + 6 Cuda that went for $121,000.00 including commisions and a 66 Hemi Coronet that hit $ 93,500.00 inc. com. They finished Wednesday night at lot #480. Most of the Hemi cars are between 963 and 1556. So I would say the big guns will be this weekened.

Well tonights coverage was well lacking in the Mopar part on the world. I did see them almost give away that altered wheel base injected HEMI and the T/A sold pretty cheep also. I'll say again I'm SUPER glad I dont have a load of money tyed up in a street rod. They just give them away!! Nite Nite

Most of the cars sell fairly close to market value, even though the Cougar Eliminator is a rare car I just think that was a case where it was two people that wanted it bad that drove it up in price. I didn't expect it to sell over a 100k.
