Powersteering YES/NO

I've never driven a mopar so I don't know what is better to have in it...Manual or power steering? I am on ebay/cudaworld/dealsonwheels almost everyday checking new cudas and challengers and actually most of them don't have powersteering...One day when I will buy(I hope :sleeping:) e-body mopar I will be looking for a car with PS because here in Slovenia we have a lot of hard turns and small places to turn a big car..
But my question is what do you like and what is better to drive and feel the car?

depends on a lot of things, but I realy would rather have manual steering...though ours has power...(not gonna take it off, but if I had a flat out choice)

I think you feel the car and road better and you are not likely to over compensate as easily...

Personally I prefer the Manual steering , the only time the steering is bad is parking
 at higher speed the manual has FAR better feel

If my power steering box did not have so much play in it I would not ahve replaced it with the manual box. My cuda has a nice tight power box and it is great. (If I did not want my girlfriend to drive a car I would install a manual box, especially on a big block, or a 4 speed because she cannot drive a stick)

I am getting old & lazy so I wish my Cuda had power steering.  Really the only time manual is bad is in parking lots & I try to avoid them with the Cuda anyway. lol

I have both and sorry but don't really have a preference.  I have to agree with CP and that manual is fine except for parking.   :thumbsup:

I have powersteering on my Challenger, I like it but it takes some getting used to . My Mach 1 has manual, better handling but more muscle.

I converted my cars to manual steering and manual disc brakes. I wouldn't have it any other way.  If you have wide tires on the front, it can be a pita, but anything else, once yer rolling, ---no problems

My car was originally manual and I converted it to power because of how hard it was to turn from a stop (which I did a lot in the city) and I hated the hullahoop sized steering wheel. I bought a rebuilt power steering box and it isnt sloppy...although at high speeds it is a little sensitive. My dads callenger also has power steering and his box is old, worn, and sloppy....but even then I would rather have the power steering. Also, both my and my dad's challengers are manuals and that has a lot to do with my preference for power steering. If the car was an auto, I might have left it manual steering......

Well when I park I usually have one hand on the shifter and one of the steering wheel. When it came time to park it wasnt a problem if I could pull right in, however when parking requires more then one step it can get to be a pain in the a$$. Imagine working to turn the wheel, stopping to shift from 1st to reverse, then working again to turn the wheel because stopping lost momentum, and if your parallel parking you can have a couple more steps. It isnt a big deal, just that at the last place I lived, the garage required multiple steps to park and I grew to hate it.

understand ... city driving and no drink holder made me hate the manual gears in my firebird....

So manual steering for highways, top speed, the right feel of the car and auto transmission. Power steering for city drive, parking, manual transmission and easy driving. How logic :cooldancing:

One more thing bothers me about 'cuda and challenger steering. What types of steering boxes can you choose from? The cuda's power steering has 3.5 turns(right :clueless:) from lock to lock and thats a lot...Like driving a truck.
Why so much?
Just for an example fiat tempra(my future car :ylsuper:) has about 2 turns from lock to lock.
