maybe it is just me but that was a better time , think they would let you run with a cigar in your mouth now ?
 when was the last time a dragster smoked the tires for 300 ' & still won ??
 gone are the days of the low buck Pro or funny car racer , my walls used to be covered with posters of the old Pro , Funnycars & Dragsters , not anymore

The flashback from that video almost brought tears to my eyes. Times were so much more fun then. :2thumbs:

I saw Ronnie Sox and Landy race their restored race cars at South Mountain a few years ago. It was awesome. Actually I have it on video. I met both men, it was wonderful. Two outstanding people. :2thumbs:

I was watching the show on SPEED, "Back in the Day"  and they where showing a Nascar race from the late 60's or it may have been early 70's, but the driver is racing with a cigarette in his mouth. :22yikes:

Would be neat to hear the actual audio to the video!

Those guys where part of the reason way I raced for over 25 yrs in Stock & Superstock.. Pretty Neat!!!!
