B5
« on: January 18, 2007 - 08:24:02 PM »
I hate to bug you guys but please give me your opinion of this color.  If you have 1973 challengers in this color please post.  Although i have no intention of parting with this car when I am finished, I considered you alls opinion in my Fk5 post with regards to resale.  Since my future plans are to own a 70 cuda or challenger in Fk5, I decided on B5 for my 1973 thinking it would be easier to sell if necessary for the 70 car.  I need a pep talk guys and pictures of b5 cudas or challengers if possible.

My car will be B5 with hood stripe painted on in TX9 instead of the decal and a black bumble bee stripe.  I can't wait to share pictures of this car.  Wheather has gone south on us here in Florida so car wont be painted until next week.

Just in case you did not know it, the 1970 color (EB5) is slightly different that the 1971 up color, which is GB5.

What is the difference?  Is it darker or lighter?  Which is preferred?

I do not know the exact difference, just that the code changed. If the code changed, so did the formula.

For 1970 and 1971 paint chip charts you can visit http://www.pantherpink.com/charts.htm

its ok .... really its a very nice color.

there is nothing super about the color (this is just my opinion) but I do not see where you can go wrong with it.

It would look good with black or white interior ...avoid green

Of all the factory colors, other than black, I think this is the most complementary for
the 72-4 Challenger but some bold graphics will add a lot to the look.  :2cents:

Now I love the Black.  If it was not for loosing the graphics we would have gone back tripple black(original).

we just did not want white graphics, and did not want to loose black graphics on a black car.
