Back Seat Screw Size
« on: January 19, 2007 - 08:06:55 PM »
When I took my back seat out I realized that there were no screws in it holding it down. Does anybody know what size screws they are circled in green on the diagram ?

Here's what's in my car. It's a coarse self tapping screw with 7/16 head and 7/8 long from the bottom of the washer. My interior is in my basement awaiting new carpetting, so , yes the back seat is out of the car too...John

You're welcome. Keep in mind that mine's a '70 Barracuda convertible (not sure what you drive) and that I bought it in '79. As far as I know I've been the only one to ever take that seat out. It would be nice though if someone else would chime in and confirm that screw. BTW, the washer doesn't come off either.

I'll confirm it and check to see if I have any extras in my stash of bolts......

Back soon.

Edit; No luck.  :sadwavey:

My car's rear seat is out but I left the screws in place.  Mine match the pictures that JayBee posted; the washer is captive, even the thread count and pitch matched his.

The head has "SEMS" impressed over two concentric circles (the lines of the circle are not visible where the text is).
