NADA allows you to put in options that didn't exist. For example, I can see these printouts for my 74 Barracuda with a 440. Is that how they mean it? I'm sure it does raise the value, when it had a 318 before, but does anybody know, is that intended? For example:
That is kinda goofy, eh? I think maybe sorta kinda like they are listing all the engine options for that year for the brand, i.e. all Plymouth cars and wagons. I'm not sure what Plymouth had a 440 that year. Maybe the wagon? We used to have a '74 Chrysler Town & Country wagon with a 440 in it.
I don't think that's how they intend it. Reason being is when you put in a 440 in a Barracuda/Cuda for 1974, the car is then modified and then hard to actually quote a value on. It's possible that maybe they weren't 100% sure what engines/options came on what car so wanted to leave some space for erroneous engine options. I dunno.... Modified cars GENERALLY tend to bring less value than a #s matching car.
