R/T Emblem - Fender
« on: January 22, 2007 - 09:27:06 PM »
I have an original 1970 R/T challenger that does not have the R/T emblem below the challenger emblem on the front fender.  There are no holes or markings for the emblem and the car and fenders are all original.  Does anyone know the story on these R/T emblems?  Did Dodge add them on later built cars.  My door tag indicates the production date of the car is November 1969.

it depends on the stripe , if it has the longitudinal stripe the emblem is part of the stripe

If it is stripe delete do the R/T emblems have the pegs on  70 challengers even if built in  69

My car has the bumblebee stripe - and no R/t emblem, no holes, or no evidence that the emblem was ever there.
This car is so original I am almost positive they were never installed.  Could this be a factory oversight?

Anyone out there have an R/t without the emblems?
