Front sub frame swap
« on: January 23, 2007 - 04:37:15 AM »
I found a 70 Challenger that has been hit in the frontend. The front frame rails are bent and basicly trash. I have a 72 roller that has good frames rails. My thought was to drill out the spot weld on the 72 front frame and install it on the 70. Has anyone taken on a project like this or am I crazyyyyyy??? :dunno: :working:

Just did it on my conv. Easier than I thought it would be. I installed right rail with inner fender attached. Took about 10 hrs from start to finish.  :working:

I haven't made it far enough to reattach the rails yet but pulling out the front rails takes a bit of time. But I removed the rails with the radiator support and torsion bar crossmember.
