Very nice! Though, having them all under the same roof like that is some scary stuff.
One fire, flood or earth quake and Mopar fans would lose a hell of a lot of history.  :crying:

those pictures only show about 1/3 of what was in the building....most of the rest were B-Bodys

...I don't remember all of the story on the CUDA (it's been a couple of years since I was there)....it was stolen and parted out when new....found on an indian reservation in Canada under stacks of other junk.....another car wearing most of the parts from the conv was purchased too so all the parts could be on the same car again....I think the engine was in a speed boat....quite a story

:clueless: What makes them spoiled brats? Because they worked hard for their money?
What makes US enjoy our cars more? Because we're "poor" or because we "built them ourselves".

Unbelievable..........
One of the biggest lies ever told is that rich people are somehow unhappy because they have everything that that poor people appreciate what they have and are, therefore, happier. I think being stinking rich would make me happy. Being able to afford a 4 million dollar Hemi 'Cuda vert to put under glass for an investment and still have money to futz around with would be great.

The chances that the buyer is now depleted of cash and just has to look at his investment behind the glass is very slim. He probably paid for the car and drove home in a caravan of expensive cars. :)

But whether I paid $240.00 or 2.4 million it would be just as useless to own if I couldn`t drive it.Bill Weiman (sp) is the MAN imo b/c he isn`t afraid to drive a rare 4 million dollar car. After all that IS what they are biult for isn`t it?

You're right, that IS what they were built for.  But they were RESTORED for a different reason: To preserve the technology, the aesthetic, and the memories.  I like to think of it like keeping old family video tapes.  You probably watch them once in a decade, but knowing you have them, keeps you in touch with those memories and that history.  I dont begrudge collectors because I am a "have-not," and I am glad that for some of these cars, there is a respect for the preservation of the machines, because they just can't/won't build them like that ever again.

Yes, but you don't go eat a toffee apple with one tooth even though that's what the tooth was created to do.
I'm all for driving as obviously, that's what they were built for, however, 1 of 1 cars IMO should be preserved. Good on them for driving, yeah they're the man, awesome yada yada yada...one plonker with a [L] plate and that car is history, not preserved history like it should be but RIP history. I'd hate to have to show my kids a photo in a black and white magazine of the car rather than be able to take them in 2, 5 or 50 years time.

In the case of the blue vert is has already been rebiult from nothing once so it could always be reiult again if something happened.I do agree there is a place for museum cars to preserve the history for the next generation but i`d still have to drive it once in a while even if I had other cars to beat on.

That ones's blue. The "cowl car" is purple as I recall. Frankly, if they got the $$, that's great. Something to think about, if they have that kind of money, and spend it on a car, it's not for the love of the car.  It could be for a bunch of reasons, but to them it's just an asset to be exploited.
