:2thumbs:  Congrats!  That'll be a beauty of a car when you're done with it!  It'll sort be like the car from Bullitt!

I'm glad I saw that last pic!  I was thinking the roof was kinda close to the top of the garage opening while it's on the trailer!

Congratulations on a great find,...............68 Charger, without doubt my dream car. I have a 70 500 and love it but finding a 68 like that would be, well, at the end of a rainbow. Please keep us updated.  :2thumbs:

Congratulations on the find.   :2thumbs:

Sad the Charger had to die in the movie.

Thanks friends; here is a pic of where I found her.
There was another 68 there, and it sold the day before; very rusty though.

Now here it sits, the two stable mates, warm and out of the weather.

Shhhhhhhhh

I guess I like primer painted MoPars.

I think both cars in the movie had the extrermely rare 13 speed tranny. Seems like they always have another gear to grab, no matter how fast their going.

A 68 Charger came up on Craigs list on Saturday. 440. Runs. had been sitting in a barn for the last 15 years. I emailed him a soon as I saw it. He emailed me back Sunday night that it had been sold. Best part? Price was $1500! Unbelievable!

Weird, eh?  I guess McQueen was just trying to find that "sweet spot" in the rpm range!  :roflsmiley:

Congrats on the sweet deal!!! :clapping:  I've always loved the second generation Chargers and that's mostly the reason I got into MoPars back when I was 12. (My parent's friend had a '69 318 Charger sitting behind his garage that I bought when I was 14.)  Your car is definitely more solid than mine was.
