Look at what I did today!
« on: January 25, 2007 - 05:45:55 PM »
I am so lucky to have an understanding wife. She cares nothing about hotrods, but loves me for anything I choose to do. So even with her being over a half a century year old, she was there helping me have my fun. And fun I did have. If you pick my car apart, it's ok. I cannot build show cars, this is my driver/fun car. 70 barracuda 440-6  4 speed. I still gotta narrow a dana yet. I have 355's in an 8 3/4 now. But from top to bottom, inside and out, I build them for me. Hope you enjoy, I really did......Thanks for helping me HONEY, I emptied the ashtray in the front room for you :roflsmiley:

My wife helped me once, she held the flashlight, oh wait, that was when I was fixing the boiler!
K, I take it back, we've been painting in the house & she has done most of it, just not gettin into my rustbuckets!  :dunno: Rich.

Thanks guys, I did get a little farther then the pictures I took today, but my batteries were going dead on my camera. And I need a 70 model dual point. I am going to run it as it came in 1970 :2thumbs:  Car quest got me the 3/8ths inlet outlet fuel pump today for 28 bucks. I was pleased for that. 29 buck starter, 14 buck water pump, 32 buck throw out bearing, the little things add up. The car still has to be painted. I paid in full 8 mos ago for that. I wanna be able to drive it off the trailer into the body shop. lacking 600 bucks to finish the exhaust,1000 bucks for the rallye wheels and tires, and 1500 for interior work. But I gotta call to go to tampa on wednesday, so I can knock off about 50% of the list quick.

For an everday driver, do you think it will be a fine example of a #2 or 3 car? I'm hoping so. This is not a show car, just a very good rust free driver.  I paid 12k for the body, engine, and some extra parts. I had to find the 4 spd...MIA..splash pans, and I need bumpers, mine are 72's. The car has 42k actual miles on it. It had a 1975 liscense plate on it and had been in a garage since then.
