Interior Completed
« on: January 29, 2007 - 11:00:41 AM »
Front buckets recovered in leather, backs recovered in vinyl both from legendary, pulled console, kick panels, door panels, seat backs and back quarters out and refinished. Put everything back in this weekend and looks great. If you ever go through this do yourself a favor and order the interior screw kit from MMSAC (MMS and Accessories). Everything comes prepackaged in individual smaller marked plastic bags. It was a lifesaver to know that I was using the correct screw everywhere. Some places were not going in real easy, but I knew that I had the right screw so was confident to use a little more pressure. Will get some before and after pictures posted later.

Hey Madmaxx...MMS is my brother's company.  Glad you were happy with the fasteners.  We have all MMS stuff in our car.  Did you tell him (John or Nancy) you're from CC.com?  He gives 10% off to members here. :grinyes:

Richard,

Were you able to find someone to recover the seats for you, or did you do it yourself? I'm just curious.

No, I failed to mention that. Although, the kit was well worth the money spent w/o the discount. I will mention it next time though, because I will be back. I was somewhat surprised that the console hardware wasn't included though. Don't get me wrong though, it wasn't misrepresented I received exactly what was promised and then some.

Also, Thanks for all the advice and help on the vinyl restoration. Without this site and the advice that I got from you, cody, etc., etc., etc., I would have never attempted this and am thrilled that I did. THANKS ALL.

Michael,

With the help of Cody's pictures/encouragement and Rev's restoration site, I chickened out on that part of it and paid $450 for both front buckets, the back seat and she also covered the package tray in vinyl. Btw - Michael you can call me Rick.

OK Rick,

But I have to tell you, the "before" doesn't look too bad at all.  :grinno:

Can't wait for the "after".
