Here it is as of 9PM Sat night.  Took it for a drive down our loonng driveway!  shes not leaking a drop of anything and has 80 pounds of oil pressure cold at idle!  It needs a front end alignment BAD, but thats being done this next week, as long as a little exhaust work...

I'm struggling with my hood right now...The latch is in and fits nice after I tweaked a few things.  Except the hood is hitting on some unknown thing and won't close on the passenger side.  Its not any of the bumpers or the latch itself...I've checked almost everything but can't find whats wrong!   Thats holding up getting everything on the front ( grill, headlight bezels, bumper, valance, ETC)  Driving me nuts!

Pics!  without grill 11:30PM with grill 1:00AM   latch is still giving me fits...it fit at 11:30 but not at 1:00   I'm thinking about just using some good ol tiedown straps to keep the hood from coming up while driving to the alignment shop...last pic is how much the hood won't close, still haven't found what it is held up on...

I'm sure your car is level so assuming your floor is level did you measure the fenders (both) from top to floor and each side of the hood to the floor to verify which was off?  Are the fenders shimmed the same?  If you push on the hood does it go into place or is something really stoping it?  If something IS stopping it did you check the two rubber stops? 
My guess is that you've done all these things but sometimes it helps to have someone go through the checks with you (especially at 1:00am !)

I messed with a hood once trying to get it to sit down in the back. I had no idea at that time that you need to RAISE the front of the hinge to lower the back. Is that bare metal on the hood where it was rubbing?

Most, if not all hoods, pop up in the rear corner, some a lot more than others. Lucy's does and there is nothing we could do about it, "master restorer" or not. The factory springs and hood fitment was OK at best. Just count yourself lucky it's not a fiberglass hood. When I close mine it's tight and fits flush everywhere but the drivers side rear corner comes up about half an inch, little but annoying, so I just squeeze it down and it's perfect. Is it catching on the sides at all or when you close it does it come down freely?

Not touching on the sides, that is polishing compound yet I haven't cleaned off from buffing the paint.

Drove it around today   It wont engage in second gear, but its just adjustment in the linkage, wasn't that worried...I could go straight from first to third without missing a beat   Its loud even with mufflers, whole car torques when you rev it   Got the front end aligned and washed the construction dust off it I've been grinning from ear to ear ever since I drove it.  Glad I went with a centerforce diaphragm clutch as its easy to find the sweet spot and feels like a new mustangs clutch pressure.  It has a slight miss but I think I need to retard the timing a bunch and tune the carb for idle, it idles at about a grand.  I'm parking it for a few days, I've worked from 8AM to at least 2-3AM everyday for the last 4 days getting it ready to go...a little tired of working on it   Hope I get to show it to some of you guys at the power tour!

DONE   Air conditioning is being charged tomorrow as well as tailpipes put on.  After that its a hood sticker and shes 100% done!  First pic is of car when we got it July 2005, and other pics were taken today!
