First and Best Concerts Attended
« on: January 31, 2007 - 09:50:20 AM »
Time to age ourselves - What was the first concert that you ever attended and then the best ???

For me my first concert was in 1967 Herman's Hermits At Atlantic City's Steel Pier. The best concert would have to be a 3 day weekend at the Charlotte North Carolina Motor Speedway - Lynrd Skynrd, ELP, Marshall Tucker, Black Oak Arkansas and more (have to excuse me I don't remember the year or any of the other bands).

This is really going to show how old we are!  Ok, don't laugh!  My very first concert was when I was 12 or so...around 1974.  He was so hot!!  That's right, David Cassidy!!  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:  The best concert I ever went to was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.  2nd Row seats at a sold out concert in Miami...also in the 70's.  Great friends, great music and some weird funny smelling stuff people were smoking all around me.   :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: I was so naive back then.  :smilielol:

LOL I'm sorry, but the David Cassidy response did crack me up. I can't believe that someone would actually admit that. Would your mother not let you go to the Donny Osmond Concert too.  :poopoke:

I told you not to laugh! I thought about not telling the truth...way to much ammunition for MEK to work with! :roflsmiley:  I never liked Donny...he was just a little too girlish.   :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: As if David Cassidy wasn't!   :smilielol: :smilielol:  Really, I have no excuse...the truth is the truth.

My first concert, Hall and Oates in Hershey, Pa. I was 15 or 16. It was ok, I guess. The best concert I ever went to was The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet and Foghat,  :ylsuper:. They played right here in York, Pa :2thumbs:

I think that if you were a female in the 70s, he was near the top of the list, somewhere around Andy Gibb and Shaun Cassidy, at least going by what my sisters thought.  :dunno:

My first was in the 80's-   Berlin (Terri Nunn) opened for The Thompson Twins.

Best-?  Did I go to any other concerts?  I need to get out more often......... :walkaway:

Does it count when my wife drags me to the symphony?  I did see the Kodo Drums of Japan, they were pretty cool.  Also an accapella group called Rockapella.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

Jackie, Don't think that you are off the hook just because Rev's was worse than yours.
