REV,i thought way back then all you gals were peter framton fans?  :stirpot:

Hey, back off on Peter Frampton. He was fantastic when with Steve Marriott and Humble Pie "Thirty Days in th Hole". That band just wasn't big enough for the two of them.

:iagree: Frampton is one he11 of a guitar player. There was a big article In The Bar Fly about him.(He played around here a couple weeks ago) He has a new CD out, too a :dunno: all guitar playing. I haven't heard it yet, so I have no opinion on it.

Great thread!!  Man, so many concerts and so few memories :smokin: First concert in '74 was The Guess Who/Wet Willie/Cowboy. Best would have to be Led Zeppelin in '77. Bonzo's drum set moved front and center for the drum solo in 'Moby D!ck' :o :o :ylsuper: :ylsuper: and Bruce Springsteen in '78. They each played for the better part of 4 hrs in their respective shows :wow:  :ylsuper: :drunk: :dogpile:

Honorable mentions to Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, Stone Temple Pilots (before drugs got the better of Scott Weiland), Grand Funk Railroad, Rush, Nugent, and Deep Purple.

And although not music, i have to give a nod to Richard Pryor and George Carlin

Well My first concet was Bob Segar when I was 13 in a small place here in Michigan . . probably 50 people attended.  I didn't even know who he was.  As for my favorite . . . way to many to choose from but I will list some that I remember as good.

Black and Blue Sunday with Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult
Ozzy with Randie Rhodes on Both tours Def Lepard warmed up and I didn't even know who they were.
Van Halen I saw 4 times in one week, AWESOME!  David lee Roth was with them still Have seen Van Halen 6 times with both singers
AC/DC back in black tour was great!  Have seen AC/DC 8 times
Rush is always one of my favorites and have seen them 9 times
I saw Queen in 1982 with Freddie . . . good light show!
Led Zeppelin in 1977 Pontiac Silverdome, Pontiac, Michigan  This was my 3rd concert!  Very cool!

Some others I've seen include:

Aerosmith, Alman Brother, Amboy Dukes, Alice cooper, BTO, Boston, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Bad Company, Cars, Cinderella, Doobie Borthers, Deep Purple,  DIO, Dokken, Elton John, Eagles, Foghat, Foriegner, Great White, Guns and Roses, Heart, J. Geils Band, Jethro Tull, Journey, Judas Priest, Joe Satraini, Kansas, kinks, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Metallica, Motley Crue, Montross, Nickleback, Pat Benatar, Phish, Pink Floyd, Poison, Rainbow, REO Speedwagon, Rockets, Rolling Stones, Sammy Hagar, Steve Miller, Santana, Styx, Telsa, Ted Nugent, Warrent, White Lion, Whitesnake, The Who, ZZ Top,  Zappa.

I know I missed a few but that was from memory.

The first album that I actually purchased with my own money would have to be either Ten Years After (to speak of another great guitarist - Alvin Lee) "A Space in Time" or Jethro Tull "Aqualung".
