I am playing hell finding a new front bumper for my 71 Challenger - Any ideas
Also, is there any difference between the Challenger and the R/T bumpers

Rick,
Have you tried Year One? There is no difference between a base model, or R/T bumper, unless you are talking about adding the little bumper gaurds like I have. Still, that means no difference in the bumper.

Layson's Restorations has very good products and lists bumpers on their site (
www.laysons.com
). I haven't seen their chrome, but we had a hassle getting a Challenger bumper rechromed locally because the place's templates for straightening the bumpers had them going straight across and not dipping down in the middle. I would probably go with Layson's if I were doing it again (and I probably will because our Cuda will need a front bumper soon). My only experience with Layson's is having them rebuild a speedometer for us. It came back absolutely beautiful.

I agreeYear One is the way to go. Also stay away from Bumber Boyz their quality to put it nicely is garbage.

These guys are in my home town of Elizabethton TN and do a GREAT job on bumpers. Should give them a call.
