Well, with all this cold weather us "lucky" people are getting and all the postings of these sub zero temps., I asked Pam to fix some home made vegetable soup. Now my kind of veggy soup is just that, no meat, meat makes it stew
So a head of brocolily and cauliflower and about 4 or 5 patatos cooked together then drained. Next add about a gallon (perhaps a little less) of milk, bring to a real slow boil careful not to curdle the milk, then add some corn starch and stir until the desired thickness is achieved, but remember the soup will thicken even more as it cools. Now make about 4 grilled cheeze sandwitches and enjoy and stay warm. BTW, she did good, followed my every step and suggestion in the process.....
...........great lunch !
For you indoor plant lovers, let the water you drain from the veggies cool and use it to water your house plants, good nutrients from the cooking process, no sense wasting it, right?
