Best disc brake kit for the money?

i know most of us have gone through this choice.  Well im there now which conversion kit is the best for the cash?  I dont need a huge 4 piston kit or anything cause im gonna keep the 15's.  But i wanna keep my wallet fat.  I like the brakes on my T/A so i figure a factory size/style should be just fine for the cuda.  Ive been looking at some used parts floating around on ebay but their prices are insane.  Anyone know a decent lower cost oem style kit out there? thanks

check the Scarebird site , they use common /cheap parts & often use the drum spindles

Seems to me the best bang for the buck its to go with the later '75+ spindles so you can use the larger 11.75" disks.

problem with that is so far I cannot locate any new discs for the 11.75 conversion ,  I have the caliper adapters already

I was going to go with the 11.75 disc brake route before I found a deal on my brakes. Anyway, when I was researching the parts needed for the conversion I found drilled & slotted rotors on eBay. A quick search found me these guys....

I know the picture is wrong and am not even sure if they are the correct rotor, but RotorPros makes rotors for just about any car out there and I remember them making the correct ones. A quick email to them and they can tell you if they are correct. I used a set of Rotorpro rotors on my sisters Mazda 6 and was pretty impressed with the quality, especially at the price. I also found these guys on eBay but cant say if they are good or not

Have you looked at www.mpbrakes.com or www.ssbc.com.  They seem to cost a little more up front, but they tend to be a complete kit.  How about cutting out the floor just ahead of the drivers seat, Flintstone style.  Just ideas.

ive looked at them and yeah the price shock is their downfall for me but who knows.  And mother nature is slowly turning the car into the flintstone's mobile anyway LOL!

the scarebird kit/bracket looks like a great idea is anyone running that set up here?

ive also been looking at baer kits too the main thing i want is a full conv. kit thats engineered well, simple and something i can do and not have to worry about in the future.

Have you checked any of the used parts places like Tonysparts.com or texasacres.com.

If you get some used spindles and the correct adapters, you can run the 11 -3/4 brake setup.

You need the caliper brackets and rotors for a '75 up cordoba. The spindle needs to come from a '73-'76 A-body with disc, you'll also need the upper control arms. This is why the mpbrakes.com kit cost so much.  73'- E-body stuff is the same in regards to spindle and upper control arm. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

I did this swap on my A-body, well sorta, it was a '73 Drum brake car, so all i needed was the spindle, but the rest came from texasacres.com.
