Hi guys,

Something interesting I bumped into, if you like model cars.

Remember the 1971 Dayclona Charger?  Well, this guy is doing a 1/24 scale model of it.  He has some progress pics of it at the link below.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

1 of the model companies had a kit years ago that I assumed was some oddball creation until I saw the Chrysler studies on the body style , it was the Road runner / Superbird though , I do have the kit somewhere & you may find it on Ebay

Was it a '71 Superbird?  If so you're right, I think I did see it on Ebay.  Very old kit!

I think it was either Jo-Han or MPC that tooled up the 1971 Superbird. They got the drawings from Mpar when they were actually styling up the 1971 Superbird. There were a few clay mockups for wind tunnel testing, but as we know the program was scrapped.
And yes, every once in a while the kit of the 1971 Superbird shows up on eBay. The last one I remember that was unbuilt went for something in the neighborhood of $286 or so.

:faint: Yikes!  That's a lotta dough for a model kit!
