Can we have a name of the place, or do you want to stay away from people like me?   :smilielol:

Don't answer that!!  :bricks1:

The rooms are usually booked a year ahead when we check in the prior year.   That way we get our same rooms.  We stay at the Quality Inn in Heath every year.   Heath sponsors the Cruise on Saturday night with burnouts and a live band in front ot the Best Buy.  Last year, the chief of police and his daughter were both doing burnouts in their Duster.  So I got out there and did 5 killer ones myself.

Brice Rd on Friday, Heath on Saturday.
Heath is close to the track too.  Try to find something close to that area.

Will definately be there as long as nothing serious interferes. I've attended it since 1984 (Ann Arbor) with a hiatus during the Indianapolis years, except for the first year, what a hoot driving on the big oval. If you come across the tri-white Barracuda from Canada feel free to say hi.

I drove the big oval too that year, in my same Challenger. I know I was going faster that 130 before I let off with 3 people in the car.
We had to line up for the "Tour of the track" but we would drop way back then floor it.   What a blast that was.
Did the same thing at the Chryslel Proving Grounds, When the Nationals was there too.

shelbydogg, you beat me. I don't think I went any faster than 125. That was on the first day, before they got sticky with us. Ditto for the proving grounds too. I lost my exhaust on that huge long steep incline when the car bottomed out. The day's line was, "his car went out a 318 and came back a Hemi".

That steep angled drop at the Proving grounds seemed really steep.   I remember it.  Also the banked oval had stepped lanes to it and not just a gradual bank.  You couldn't go up high without the speed to hold you in the bucket.

hey guys i will be in columbus again this year last year was a blast. Last year the hotel we stayed in was right off brice road, i got lucky to find it at the last minute.... but on the other hand it was kinda nasty. So this year i booked in advance at the comfort suites, it is also right off brice road. There were plenty of rooms left when i booked, if your interested. I agree we should set a date and time to meet up. Last year i only got to meet up with one person. Would like to meet some more of you all this year.

I'm upper class.

I assume judging class?   My car is a driver, so I just display and stay in the swap meet area looking for "stuff" all Friday and Saturday.   I just pay the $65 regular entry.
