I am selling my 70 Cuda clone. After nearly 11 years of restoration I have decided to sell this car to pay for a building project. I will do my best to describe the vehicle and below I give a link to many many pictures of the vehicle on my website.
This car started its life as a 70 Barracuda Grand coupe 318 car. I gave the engine away 11 years ago and we put in a 1972 440 that’s totally rebuilt with a forged crank and a brand new 440-6 intake and carbs. The engine/ car has less than 10 miles on it since the rebuild. The trans is also rebuilt. The front end is a poly graphite suspension ands rebuilt. The car has HP manifolds and a TTI exhaust system with the nice stainless polished tips. The rear end is a Sure grip 323 rear. The vehicle was painted approx 7 years ago in PPG and was decent. I recently, approx 5 months ago had the vehicle professionally re-painted in STANDOX, which is a very expensive German paint and looks much better than the PPG. The rims and tires are original 15 inch rallys with BF GOODRICH Radial T/A’s. The car has an original shaker hood, base plate and adapter ring. The trim ring is a repop. The vents in the shaker bubble are real originals and the bubble is a repop. There is currently no cables or fresh air vents in the set up.
The car has brand new black with red inlay legendary interior and new repop door panels. The car has a dash cap, not a new dash. It also has a rally dash and the gauges tend to work for the most part but have some demons in them and I would recommend rebuilding the gauges. The car has a center console, which is in great shape but for a 71-74 and is red as the rest of the interior.
The car is currently semi apart with an unfinished 70 go-wing style deck lid that I will have painted and install, the front and rear valances are also going to be painted and installed as is the grille, which needs a touch up before being installed.
The vehicle has a new trunk floor which is a repop. This car is not a perfect rotisserie job but is a beautiful car that you can drive and enjoy. The paint is beautiful. BUT NO TRAILER QUEEN. The vehicle runs and sounds great. The car needs a new top but has new convertible pump lines and the pump works great. I am in no hurry to sell this vehicle but have posted a link and the info in case there is someone out west who would like to buy this car for the listed price. I would recommend that any one who is interested in the car take the time to come and look at it. The car comes with a clean title but the dash VIN is missing and has been since my purchase almost 12 years ago. The cowl number below the windshield matches the title as well. It was no uncommon to see the dashes replaced in these and this car was dark red when I bought it, but was originally a burnt orange. The data place is with the car and matches everything else.
The car comes with the jack and a space saver spare that is not the original and I am not sure of the year as its out of a challenger.
I am asking
? for this vehicle and may consider a rust free 64 Sport Fury or sport fury vert as a partial trade. NO rusty or major projects. I may also consider a 71 Barracuda HT as partial trade. The real shaker hood are very expensive and I may consider selling the car for less without the hood.
Here is the link to my website which has many pictures of the vehicle.
