1100 CID Aluminum WW-II Sherman Tank Engine
« on: February 07, 2007 - 03:45:49 PM »
This is a very cool guy in my book.  :2thumbs:
You gotta check this out!! This guy is putting an 1100 cubic inch aluminum World War II Sherman tank engine into a 1970 Ford Mustang.  :wow: It would be SO MUCH better if it was in a MOPAR, but still very cool. Apparently this all aluminum engine was very high tech for WW-II, 4 valves per cylinder ect and capable of putting out gobs of horsepower with some modern technology. Check out the link below. You gotta luv this guy!!  :droolingbounce:

You thought Fords were slow getting off the line now... try getting off the line with a big, bulky tank motor under (and partway over) the hood!

Wow!  Talk about a blind spot!  Can only drive that thing in a straight line!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Since the two companies are now one, JCW, who knows the answer to this WWII era soldier's question:

How many Shermans does it take to kill a Panzer?

3 to 9 Shermans per Tiger wasn't it?  It is amazing what people will do with a little free time!

Yep, soldiers commonly said that it took six Shermans to take out a Panzer: five to distract it and one to sneak around and shoot it in the rear armor.

Tiger?  He said Panzer...
Panzer was the German colloquial term for a tank, Tiger was a model of German heavy tank.
