Has anyone tried them yet? I'm wondering how they fit, is it as good as origionals?

Anyone try the new fenders yet? Just brought one of mine home from the shop where my 71 challenger is being worked on. Fender looked pretty scary. Body guy said it would cost more in labor to repair it.

I bought a new 71 front drivers side fender, as far as repops go, they fit WONDERFUL.  Little to no screwing around to make em fit, very crisp stamp lines, well worth the cash :2cents: :money:

Just one curious question here. Why are new fenders being posted on ebay instead of being the standard offer through the tin outlets - like Sherman or Goodmark???????? or their resellers?

These are the resellers (most of the time).   I bought sheetmetal off of Ebay by using the "best Offer" link.  The guy says in the auction that they will be dropped shipped to your business or home address by the manufacturer.  He takes the order, calls the company, then you get your parts.  All he does is make money on his discount.

Make sure that you have him call the manufacturer first to make sure that the parts aren't on back order if you need them right away.   I had to request a refund on a 3/8 e-body fuel pickup, because the company selling it didn't even have it in stock.     I ended up getting it later for $55 after asking if it was in stock first.

Was all the bracing in place? What about the headlight area, could I just bolt up a set of headlights with trim and  accessories; everything welded in the right spot?

For the 70's the headlight mounting bracket is definitely different.
