Power Booster

I have a new front disc brake conversion kit from SSBC and I opted for the POWER Booster...I know it will add weight and I have a pretty radical street roller cam 292 durantion /.620 lift so vacuum issues will be there but I did get a vacuum resovoir if that will even work....so my question is do i REALLY need the power booster?? will the front disc brakes stiil stop well without it??

Some e bodies came with factory standard disc brakes. My 72 cuda did and I have my 70 barracuda 440-6 that is standard front discs. I just converted my 74 challenger to standard discs. It was power disc. The 72 was running 9's in the quarter and it stopped just fine for me...you should be ok. I think the adjuster rod is a bit shorter for the non power tho. But you can use a standard drum rod and it works too.

8 Pack great question!. I plan on doing a SSBC front conversion this spring. I have manual drums myself .. the car does not need hard pedal pressure to stop now. So I wondered when I do my conversion.. if it only takes the same pedal pressure should I bother to go with a booster?? And then there is the "does the Hemi have enough vaccum" question  :blah:  :blah:

Chryco are you running SSBC??  :dunno:
