BArry,

That's COOL!

I was thinking how striking that would be. It would be such a sleeper.

Dog-dish hubcaps, chrome satelite trim.I would love to see the look on a bowtie fan as they are  smoked by flower powered car.

priceless, truly priceless.

DMZ73,

It would only be a sleeper until the first big race, then everyone in town would know who you are, including the police.  Good idea though, and it would be funny to watch.   :2thumbs:

There is a factory 383 mod top cuda here in Panama city. I was told that it was the only 70 Cuda Mod top in existance? Needs a full restoration but hey, he has got it. i think that you can see pics of its current condition on www.emeraldcoastrestorations.com

Karl's car is not the only one. As Barry has said, the Hemicuda should be seen pretty soon. Hopefully a few others too.

Only Plymouths were Mod Tops. The '69 and '70 Barracuda/Cuda and the '69 Satellite.

The '69 Darts and Coronets and Super Bees were Floral Tops.

The '70 Fury was only called a Patterned top while the '71 was called a Paisley Top.

Other than Gator Grain which was black vinyl died brown, there also exists Green Gator, Tortoise, Lizard (often called snake skin) and Basketweave tops.

Also, the '71 Imperial has an anomoly with the Burgundy vinyl top which faded into an odd pattern.

I think that's all the tops I know of.  Oh wait, there's also an Aztec top.

They only did the Maroon top for one year correct?

I think they canned it because of the UV instability. I have always wondered if the burgundy top ever made it to any other car aside from the Imperial.

Basketweave top- I don't think I have seen that one....

Then again...You never know.

There is a '69 charger that attends car show around here.  It is green w/ mod top.  I will try and dig up a picture, otherwise wait until summer and I will try and get a pic then.

Yes on the Imperial, and it was cancelled early in the model year. I have never seen a basketweave car either. I saw it in a brochure or trim selector on eBay but I was outbid for it. This was a few years ago and I can't find the picture, if I even saved it. I've seen a couple of 1973 Sebrings with red tops that were patterned, but I don't know what it was called (if anything).

Please do, and get a fender tag shot if you can.

Hey Ken, I remember seeing a couple of 73 Satelite Sebring Sundance models with sunbursts printed on the vynal top material. I remember a brown one,and a white one, with yellow striping, and yellow sunbursts on the vynal top.

I've seen a couple of those Sundances and shot an unrestored one. I remember the interior and the Sundance logos and stripes but not the top. Now I'll have to dig out some old pics.
