Wow, I just put my maniflods on tonight without any paint on them at all. I never noticed any new cars with painted manifolds. Did they come painted from the factory? :clueless:

I would think the grey is the best.  The stainless may be too bright to look like cast iron. I have never used the products so it is a guess.

POR-15 has a coating that brushes on for exhaust manifolds that gives them their original cast iron color. I have used it with awesome results. It is the BEST way to go as far as I'm concerned.

Those exhaust manifolds look great! What is the color you ask for when you order the paint?
Thanks Al

Here is the can. Also when I did this process I did 2 sets of manifolds. First I had both sets blasted then I coated one set, and compared the finish to the other bare blasted set, and the color match to the original cast iron was almost perfect.

Those look great.

The color looks dead on to a set of NOS ones that I was just looking at.

Was the shine about the same? I ask because the cast iron ones looked very flat and most paint that I've seen has a bit of gloss to it...

The flatness is pretty close to the original cast iron. The color match between the blasted original cast iron is almost dead on to this paint.
