I like the look of no console for a manual - its just looks business, pistol grip and nothing else.  I have given some thought to replicating the look on my auto as my 70 console is cracked.

I like the consoles, even though they do look cheesy.  I don't think I'm going to put one in for now though because I love the shifter look all the way to the bottom and the console covers some of it.

Personally, I do not care for the consoles, they just look cheesy to me and there is no cup holder.  I may make a custom one for my T/A with cup holders, I like to have my coffee when I drive.

Here's your cup hold, Barry!  No custom fabrication needed!

Spilling the coffee though could be disasterous!  :stomp:

Oh, BTW, I like consoles in E bodies!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

None console looks best for 4-speed. It makes the 'cuda look more brutal.
I'm thinking of converting my 70 'cuda 727 to a  833 none console car.

There is another functional use for the console.  Back in the day it was what the young lady of the day sat on to get a little closer.  That's why mine is a little bit bent.   :naughty:

I don't know but just wondered if the Kiesler shifter's position will readily fit the factory console. :clueless:

The Keisler's shifter position is exactly in the same position as the factory 4-SPD. The only thing I don't like about the console is they like to vibrate and rattle at times, but as far as looks I vote for the console.

Pistol grip with no console looks downright mean. Console adds refinment.  :2cents:

Thanks for the input guys, good points being made. Console seems is winning by some margin.
The non-console does look a little meaner and shows more of the shifter off, well, more boot anyhow.

I think I'll be going for the console for sure. As for sitting on them, WTF!?!?

I have to say I always likes consoles but not with the pistol grip shifter. It hides how how good the shifter and the boot really look. My vote is for no console
