Accu-form Pillar Post Trim

 I am test fitting the new pillar trim recently purchased from YO and have found that much trimming will be needed to make it right. Has anyone else had problems with this product from Accu-form? I would rather send it back then risk damaging a already substandard piece.

 Has anyone found a better fitting pillar trim for a 70 Challenger?

Not that I have purchased any accu-form products, but I would like to know how it does not fit.
I have heard that others have the same problem.

I bought a set from the junkyard that are a little chalky, but uncracked black ones for 20 buck until I find better, I will make do.

Just keep an eye out for em on Craigslist (nationally) or check in some junkyards. You would be surprised what you can find.

 The flange that matches to the kick panel is 1/2" too far back. In other words it would seem the dash needs to be father forward or the radius section where the dash joins needs to be trimmed.

 If this were corrected by timming, the upper flanges that fit under the window trim would not line up correctly though. Also there are no holes or countersink for the shoulder screws in the mid section of the trim.    

 While on the subject, is there a difference between saddle tan and tan in the 70 Challenger interior? The paint I purchased (saddle) is a little darker that the original trim piece.

That's a shame. I have a real hard time hearing how people are dealing with these substandard parts.

As far as the color differences go, I can't answer your question. UV has to do with a lot of fading.

I would post pics if you can, so others can see what theya re getting themselves into.

I am in the same boat. I have a set of black pillar post trims that I bougth from a junkyard. They are place holders untill I get a clean undamaged set of white ones. (Yeah right)

I will keep my eye out for you.
