Guys, the suggestions are great. Keep pouring them in.

The names always get scrubbed through licensing.

Sorry Andrew, cant answer your game question. but if the copperhead was never put into production, doesnt that mean that the name could still be used for another production model?
What happened to the concept car , Venom ? That would be a cool name. And I do agree about the Aspen. The name makes sense. Suv, snow- Aspen, snow, mountains.

Nice article on the Demon mentioning Dan.

This could be fun  :grinyes: :
"In production, the car would use 1.8- to 2.4-liter engines, with a 300-hp turbo engine at the top of the range."

Both Autoweek and Road and Track were very positive. The  next article to be published is Edmunds.
Automobile did a spot as well, but I could not attend the interview.

I can't wait till the Europeans get a hold of it. Then we'll see if we can eat Fish on Friday. :lol2:

Thats a good idea, make it a "across the pond" sale item only. And honestly I wouldn't give much credence to what those two mags. say about anything. Give it to Mopar Muscle or like subscription, get an evaulation from the "family".  :2cents:

Once you do that that's when people in the U.S. wanted it even more.  Like keeping candy from a kid, makes them want it more.  :grinyes:

Venom is being used on the Viper already, as an aftermarket performance upgrade package.

Copperhead would have been a great name, but as mentioned before, it was also used on a previous concept.

Honestly, what market can they even imagine would be able or wanting to buy this? The expense that has already been incured to have an operational prototype is unbelieveable. So why  :horse:  just bury the thing, it stinks. And the name on the RIP stone could be,  POINTLESS .  I'm done............no more.

The same market that is currently buying the hell out of the Saturn Sky and the Pontiac Solstice, which this car was designed to compete with.

For a production car, yes.

For another concept, probably not.  Would cause too much confusion to have 2 concept cars named the same.

It's all licensing and legal matters.  Beleive it or not once we use a name, we don't keep the licensing for our past concept cars.

Since the 70s, it was thought that it would cost too much money for us to keep licensing thse names, and keep them trademarked, so we let them go after so many years. It was dumb to say the least. Think of all of the good names we let go. Beleive me, we have been playing the name game for many years.
Since We had no cash back then- gee, sounds familiar, so we decided to spend it on other things, other than tie up our lawyers in courts for the rights to names of cars that did not sell....
I am still trying to figure out that one.

That's my  :2cents: on the marketing/licensing game.

Just think, the current Charger could have been called the Coronet...hahaha..

Chances are, you never know what will come out of the name game.
