A quote from the seller:

"This car is probably priceless but we have to put a price on the car to sell it, so I am setting the reserve at $1.1 million."

 :faint: :faint:

I would hate to have this car because I would hate to drive it.  :walkaway:

What would you do with it if you owned it? Probably the only thing would be try to make a killing on it. :eek4:

 :clueless:

Does this guy really think that anyone seriously in the market for a car like this doesn't know that it just sold at BJ for half of what he's asking for it?

I would think he'd be happy to pick up the extra $25k that people have already bid it up to. A tidy profit for a few months of having his half mil tied up.

No... he want to double his money!

Chutzpah!

With the fees paid to BJ, transport cost, etc. and now E-Bay he is just now probably breaking even. I was in the bidding until the first bid.

Yupe and there would be a few who wouldn't know what BJ is apart from some kind of sex act.
It's a shame but it's true. Think a busy business man with no time to look but money to burn.

That sucks for the hobby but sheesh, he's got a good head on his shoulders.
If I could make a quick $500K I think I'm not the only one who'd do it.

IMO I don't think cars like this are hurting the values of the non-Hemi cars any more.
1-of-1 cars are big bucks, 70 R/T's 440s not so much and I don't think they will change.
E-Bodies will always be pricey but it's for what they are not what people will pay, if that made sense.

That's pathetic, you think it would kill the guy to hold on to it for more than month. I would drive it and enjoy it. Even if you put a thousand miles on how much is it really going to hurt the value.

It is pathetic, the guy probably doesn't even enjoy cars. Sees it as an investment and thats all.

Oh, but is he ever shrewd, even if no one buys at his price he has, and is, established a public line of assumed value more than the BJ sale price. Now don't you think this auction is being watched throughout the Mopar sites? 1.1 Mil. may not be what he hopes to get, but it's closer now to that figure than in was last month in Scotsdale. I say the guy is playing a game only he can win, he could care less about the car and what it is.  :2cents:
