It's over 600 now.

Anybody notice the inner fender has been painted? Just look at the emission decal.

About 30 miles from here sits a 70 or 71 hemi 4 speed Cuda that the man buoght new when he came back from the war.  He drove it 2500 miles or less, then parked it in a nice garage and just cranked it every so often.  As far as I know it's still there.

Do you think these bids are legitimate or just shills. With the ID protected in todays e-bay bidding, that really opens it up to shill bidding to drive up the numbers.

A friend of mine has a 70 hemicuda, numbers matching car with only 1400 miles on it when he restored it. Now he brought it back from a race car, and had to "de-tub" it. I was talking with him the other day, i think he now has over 2K miles on it, he does drive it to shows etc... i dont think he'll ever sell it.

Hey. Even if this car sold for half of the current price, the overwhelming majority here still couldn't afford. Let the rich investors play.

If I hit the Mega Millions, I would go out there and test drive the car. After the odometer hit 100 miles I would take it back and tell him the milage is too high.

Too buy that car would be like one of us buying a franklin mint diecast car. You can't drive it or park it anywhere so you just look at  it. Hey, if I had millions, I might just buy it to look at it also. And besides, what better way to imprss Lance and Buffy at dinneer that to show them you low miles hemi cuda-no penile pump needed here (like the ferrari guy)

My, did someone say something to this effect in a previous post?  :roflsmiley: I would say he'll sell below his reserve if it dosen't go that high, he'll still make a profit.

I kind of have to disagree with you Kelly's (kind of). I do think cars that are this much deserve more respect. A lot more expensive cars out there than the one in discussion, Rolls Royce Phantoms, or the Silver Ghost. When you think about it, cars going for big amounts isn't too insane. After a house, to the average household, it's the biggest asset. (Unless you're rich, then a yacht, etc). I don't think it hurts the hobby too much. These are 1 of 1 cars, not your "average" Cuda or Challenger. Prices will always be high for our cars they didn't manufacture many. It's like basketball shoes or custom beds, prices are higher. Not many people need 34ft beds or size 20 shoes.

I can't see 318's or 383 cars going for millions, doubt they ever will, perhaps when flying cars are in use but that's understandable. There are E-Bodies then there are E-Bodies, expensive E-Bodies. Which with one-of one options deserve to be pampered and higher sort after.

Not me..a cars a car, drivem till the drop, that includes all of them...no respect...I respect people...ideas...nature...but cars...I drivem.  There are only a few on this site that could afford to ever own these so called collectibles and that's all they are is collectibles, they aren't a car to me...you drive cars.
My opinion.
Why worship something you cant drive?  You could never drive that car or the value would go down.  Like havin a hot oldlady and never taking her out on the town. :stirpot:

True, but if you can afford cars like these, store them & show them. You can afford to buy several "toys" and drive them. I drive my cars too but a 1-of-1 IMO should not be driven, if you purchased it to drive it your doing nothing for the hobby apart from taking risks and chances on a daily basis to destroy a one off Mopar. :crying:

Lookin at some of them pics makes me wonder what conditions this care was stored under. :dunno:

Just because it sat and didn't get used doesn't necessarily mean it's in Mint condition.
In fact maybe the opposite.

I think a garaged Western state (dry) one owner never wrecked survivor that was driven sparingly (2000 miles/year) would be a better car.
