74 Cuda value
« on: February 13, 2007 - 12:46:49 PM »
Last f-ing try to post...74 360 triple option actual Cuda (vin to be verified) with 4 speed no motor with rallye dash and front seats. A few additional parts minus back seat stuff, console, and other interior pieces. Frame rails supposed to be in good shape except one with a small hole, not bad but does need to be repaired. Wanted to know the value, asking 8K. Plan to swap grill for 70 and tail pan for 70. Can't afford a 70 to restore with out it being a basket case. Want 70 look to put in big block (tbd) and air ride, with pretty rims and original look inside and body wise except I plan to shave the side markers. Plan to keep to give to son down the road. I know :violin: I shouldn't cut up, but love the look of a 70 Cuda...What ya think...Pictures below.

does it come with the fenders and grill and everything?  That will make a huge difference.  If money is a concern I would forget about swapping over a 70 front end and tail panel.  It going cost a pretty penny to do that.  But if you are let me know because I may buy some of the 74 parts off ya!

I wouldn't think it would be worth half what they are asking.

Overall the car looks good to me but since it is a triple black car I would keep it the way she is and not convert to a 70 clone. Even 72-74 cars are starting to bring good money these days.

In the end.. It's worth whatever you are willing to pay I guess, but make em an offer.. Cash talks!

Good luck!

8k is stretching it. It needs work and who cares if it is triple black if no #s motor and 70 grill and tail panel. I would go 6500 tops, just what I would do.

Sounds too steep to me, although, you could probably scrape together $8K worth of parts to sell on eBay. :naughty:

I would check over the front end sheet metal with a fine tooth comb.  It could be the angle of the pictures, but something looks off to me.  it looks as it may have been in a accident and the frame pulled out.

 :iagree:  With everyone

There is alot of drama that's gonna unfold when you look under the paint on the roof. Also all the 'CUDA only trim is missing like on the top and below the doors and the tail chrome.

I like those Challenger seats but it does sound like alot of money for what you get

For a '74 360/4-speed shell, I'd say it should fall between $5,500-$6,500.00 as a fair market value price.  As stated, I'd be a little weary about the front end possibly being tweaked.  The rust problem in the driver's side rail may be apparent on the other side as well due to years of a leaking battery sitting on the tray area just above that. :-\
