Try your local Chrysler dealer, Randy's Ring & pinion, Richmond gear - they all cost money. North of the border most DC dealers give a club member (such as Northern Mopars in Calgary) a 15% discount which helps.

Call Randy's Ring & Pinion. We tried all gear types and all we're whinny and loud except one - Yukon.
We used Richmond, Motive (the loudest) and others but all were not what we'd call "good cuts or perfect".

We ended up using a Yukon crown and pinion, the quietest we used by a country mile. We had everyone set up, sent a couple back and got them back exactly the same, with a loud & annoying noise. Of course there maybe a little run-in needed but everyone except Yukon sounded like a supercharger coming from the rear!

Strength wise they are fine, I can't feel or hear any weaknesses, not sure if you can or not though.
No grinding or clunking and it has taken some pretty hard launches from complete rests a lot. :icon16:

Sounds like 3:23's are not available any more;  3:55's will be fine.... and Randy's seems like a good place to go.
thanks for the advice!

3.23 were fairly common, you could most likely find a used set cheap in a local yard. :2cents:

did you call and talk to summit or jeg's? or just look at their web site cause when i got the new set of 3.55's i had to call and the guy had to look them up since they didnt list them.  Got them drop shipped directly from richmond.

Moparnut,

Save that whole chunk because it's easier to throw a sure-grip center section into that ring gear combo.  I've seen the the sure grip units at swap meets.
