    too big ???

    Built a 340 and was wondering if i went too large in manifold and carb areas plus other areas?
    victor manifold 3500 -8000 
    carb street avenger 770 cam is a
    custom grind roller comp cam. in 544 ex 541 operating range 2500 to 6500 rpm
    10.5 to 1 pistons hydraulic roller lifters from crane
    pro sereis roller rockers from comp cams
    391 gears
    3000 - 3500 stall
    Engine was bored 60 over,edelbrocks alluminium heads.
    Any feedback would be appreciated :2thumbs:

    the carb is fine , the manifold not so much with a cam powerband of 2500-6500 you need an intake with a similar powerband further complicating the problem is the stall , you will have load on the engine before it will get to the powerband so the car will be a DOG at the bottom end / off the line , just swapping intakes will solve the problem though

     Maybe an Edelbrock Airgap RPM intake would work better.

    kinda figured the manifold was to large,but it seems to scream out of the hole, i have to let out of it or loose control quik.the car feels like its got two power bands,once the first powerband passes theres a very strong surge after words.weird . funky color huh??

    It's green, it's bold.  I am guessing it is a candy and changes shades with the light.  Are you going to run any stripes on the car?  I may not pick the color but it will be nice to see a different color on a Challenger.  I really like the eggplant purple that Aloha Automotive used on the 70 Challenger.  I am considering that color or another one myself.  I'll still have 4 with the correct colors on them.

    no candy looks like it though. as far as striping im trying to think of something to tone down the color.maybe paint car black with the green used in ghost flames ???
