I screwed up...

 :stomp: :stomp: :stomp: pulled tranny to put in shift kit removed bell housing bolts drive shaft etc.. forgot to remove flexplate bolts& was pulling and jerking tranny to get it out.long story short now i have a vibration. not motor or driveshaft both are completely balanced plus they were fine before my dumbass move.got in a hurry.anyway the stall  convertor and flex plate were starting to slid off when i caught it, did i bend tranny shaft screw up convetor,or did i simply bend flexplate. any help would be greatly appreciated..oh yeah all new u-joints

Get a new flexplate.

On your old one, were the holes perfectly round?

Get a new one!

 :iagree: also, tugging on it could have put a slight bend in it and that will cause a vibration (personal experiance)!

 :thumbsup: appreciate the info,do you think it would have bent the flex plate?cause it was still bolted flat to the convertor ? :clueless:

What else could you have damaged?  Are you sure that everything else is the same? Did the Flexplate have an offset hole so that it only bolts on one way? Were the holes still perfectly round or oval shaped?

it had perfect round holes and offset little hole so it only bolts up 1 way and its a heavy duty flexplate :clueless:

Since the Plate still looks straight, you could have bent the shaft like you said.  That shalf is really strong but only you know how much force you put on it.  Might as well drop the tranny and pull the front pump to check the shaft again.     That's if you are sure that it is not your driveshaft.

had the driveshaft balanced after the fact, but the shaft did take the weight of the tranny for a breif period. and the tranny was rebuilt

When does it vibrate?sitting still idling,only when you rev it,only when you are going down the road? I doubt you hurt the input shaft.You shouldn't have to remove the tranny to install a shift kit though. :clueless:

had it balanced after words to see if it would fix, got better but not completly fixed

Put it up on stands and take off the rear tires and bring it up to speed. If it still vibrates take of the driveshaft and try it again.  I thought that you said that nothing vibrated till you pulled the tranny and put it back in.
