Half Million Dollar 71 Cuda
« on: February 19, 2007 - 04:24:21 PM »
I was selling a rimblow to a guy last summer and he said it would go on a 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible clone he was building. I guess he finally got it done. Think it will make it? :money:

The more and more Hemi clones made out there, it seems to dilute the general value of these cars. Back when, there were few clones so that when one would pop up there would be a market for it. But with everybody, their mom-pop, uncle, and Aunt Betsy looking to make a quick buck, makes the supply of clones plentiful. I'm starting to see a trend of more people seeking original equipment cars (i.e. original 340 cars, big block R/T's, sixpacks, etc) rather than finding a C-code and slapping in a crate Hemi.

Not to knock this car, this is an very nicely done car and I don't see why it wouldn't make a nice penny (for a clone, that is!) My only question is.....why only a 4-barrel? Dual quads ALL THE WAY!  :ylsuper:

Yeah, beautiful car, but why the average paint? (single stage enamel?? and the finish looks nasty in the lights) Plus, the TKO, the single four barrel..the "correct rear..but with disc brakes? It's kind of a car between two buyers. One that would pay for the speed parts, and one who would pay for the original look. $150000 tops.

I agree Bondavi, if it's not dual quads, it's not a hemi yet  :2thumbs:
