Aussie Roll Call!!
« on: February 20, 2007 - 04:09:31 AM »
There are so many Aussies on this board now, I thought it would be good to have everyone check-in in the one thread so we can discuss how we are going to take this place over. ;) :ylsuper:  Might let Kiwis check-in also as long as they are humble and polite about Australia losing the cricket to them today. :misbehaving:

Right, I'll start then:

70 Barracuda currently mid-way through a restoration.  Was a one-owner California car, 318/904/7.25 driveline, Limelight with White interior.  Car is staying a Barracuda but getting a 383-4bbl/727/8.75, limelight/white, have added a 'Cuda Bonnet, go-wing, hockey sticks and staying with the factory Magnum 500 14x5.5 rims with 225/70/14 BFG radial T/As.  Hoping to have the car home in the next 3 weeks and will then be painted shell with driveline/suspension/wheels, and then the fun begins with putting everything back together.  I'm turning 40 this year so the car absolutely must be finished soon so I can start my mid-life crisis in style :cooldancing:

Also thought I would add a list of Mopar parts suppliers that I have found to date that might be of use to you guys - feel free to add any others you have.

Just a note I repaired and painted oz,s cuda.
My car has been put on hold for a while, as I am expecting a second child soon

I have been restoring a 1967 mustang coupe for a friend that has been taking way to long to finish, 5 weeks so far but now its painted.

This is a good idea OzCuda, well done mate!!!  I'm in South Australia and have recently purchased a one-owner 73 Barracuda from the US and am waiting for it to arrive here very soon.  I plan on doing a full restoration and converting it to a 70 Cuda - love 'em but can't afford 'em!!  I'll post pictures as soon as it arrives.   I also drive a few other cars, but definitely love my pride and joy my first car "Hey Charger"!!!

Thanks for your list of suppliers, this will come in handy.  Attached is a great list of sites that Loco440 (Aussie) emailed me a couple of weeks ago.

Nice stuff mate, sounds like shes going to move. 440ci stock or 440ci? :naughty:
Yeah, Cricket, awesome games but over and done with now. Both our nations eagerly await the World Cup.

Haven't got the [OA5599] plates but know where and how to get them. I'd only buy them if I converted Lucy to a 5-speed pistol grip. THEN, she would be vanishing point. Shes good as is, my "luxury cruiser".  As for the dirt? lol I can add that any time I go out if a please....just find a big pile of sheep shlt or mud hole and she's set.
