Now we see why Dodge never introduced an iconic badge for the Challenger. It is too hard to nail down what exactly is the embodiment of a Challenger.

The problem with using a Dodge tri-corner emblem or an R/T badge is these represent other Dodges as well. The only thing specific to the Challenger was the name its self.  That and the huge character line down the side, which incidently, was on every year of the 1st generation and is also on the current model. We'll just over look those mistubishi versions as they had nothing legitimatly challenging on them except the name plate.

So, with that in mind here is a suggestion; two single profile lines, one that would be a nose to tail outline of the top of a Challenger, the second line below that showing the character line from nose to tail. Underneath or between those two lines would be the name Challenger. The name could be changed from the script of the 1st gen to the block style of the new car depending on personal preference.

It makes me think of the original GTO because of the ad's from the 60's with the Tiger.  Also Exxon. Nice image, though.

I honestly can't think of any car "mascot's" besides the Tasmanian Devil for the Duster and the little devil for the Demon that weren't the animal that the car was named after... Road Runner, Super Bee, Mustang, Cougar, Impala, etc.
