This is great, I never imagined that there would be so many great options. That furry lil thang cracked me up. Loved the Rat too, think that we can replace the cat with some type of fish, maybe a _____ (insert idea here must be four characters in length and start with a C and end with an A, preceded by a D - If anybody says CADA I'll scream).

Na, not cars!? (which I thought was absolute junk but lets not go there).
Well, it that is used, it aint representing me, that's for sure.

I still think something "like" boxing, not saying boxing, but gloves or some kind of inspiration or weapon.
Stairs could also be used, like Rocky and also the "Challenger" climbed the stairs to the top of the table.
Challenger outline or badges or something then a "VS" sign. What we put next to it I dunno.....??

Fists joined together in some pattern,  "Never Give Up" as a slogan, there is a lot to do with it.
First one needs to look at what Challenger means. Rather than just go put a TV character with the name.

That was the only thing that I could think of until NZ twisted it and turned it into a symbolic representation. Which I agree with and we have to have it represent a challenge, because thats what the Challenger was. A Challenge to the entire Pony market at the time.

We could have all the other mascots (the Stang, the demon, the cuda) trembling in the background.

What about a Vanishing point theme?  Is that too not original or  a copyright issue?  This pic has the "Challenger" theme to it, trying to out run the police.



Or what about a Challenger at the dragstrip facing the lights, ready to take off.


The "R/T" idea is a nice idea. 

Are we looking for an animal type thing? 

How about the Atlas guy (he holds up the world) holding up a Challenger instead of the world?

BTT - I think it needs to have the "man" thing with it. Like the DB adverts for instance. They reek MAN.
Classic, no crap advertising that is man as the day is long. Think people. lol I still think it needs to be along the lines of fighting, or fighting to survive and stay alive. Challenger as Madmax pointed out was chosen as for what the word means:

Challenger

1. A person or thing that challenges. 
2. A boxer who fights a champion for his championship title. 
3. Radio. interrogator (def. 2). 
4. One that challenges: a challenger of established authority.

I quite like number 4, perhaps something a long the lines of: "Bend the rules - Challenger Them"
Still, we need a mascot first. Think like nature.....what animals put up a Challenger, fight till they die?
I was thinking race horse - DOH (Mustang). lol Bloodhound, Hare/Rabbit.

What about a hare/rabbit running hard and behind that teeth outline of a doberman or something.
Have the Rabbit like a real tough bugger though, grinning and beating the chaser....

I was thinking about the /rabbit/hare and the turtle story, you know the one?
Where the rabbit/hare thinks he's neat then has a break and the turtle aka Challenger wins.

OK, I have no life, it's 4:51am down here and I spent a few hours making the following.
Would have been sooner but my @#$%! computer froze in photoshop and I lost it 75% way through.

I picked Dinosaurs for mine (sounds like a school project) because quite a few refer to these cars "as old" or "old dinosaur". Nothing has lived on this planet that is more furious than a T-Rex and here is this small raptor which is quick and nimble taking it on and winning, being "the" Challenger. However, unlike the Bee & Roadrunner I feel it's too busy but never the the less, would make a cool T-Shirt!! lol

Still, I think it's cool.  One is of normal and one has a Challenger in the background. The one with the Challenger in the background reads "Challenge it" where as the normal one reads "Challenge them".
(Lucy kindly donated herself). Anyhow I'm off to bed...... lol
