what color to paint it?
« on: February 21, 2007 - 02:06:13 PM »
I've got this 70 S6 chally....B5 blue and black interior.  Its getting restored (for lack of a better term).   The engine is going to be a 440 and it will get a TA hood and exhaust....I just like the look.

Since its non stock resto......any opinions of going away from the B5 blue color?  everything needs to be sprayed, so nows the time to change if I'm going to .

I like the B5 blue...and being I already switched the engine....it doens't "NEED" to be the right color anymore.....

What's your favorite color in TA trim???

Nothing wrong with B-5 blue. I did see a red one at Carlisle 2005, that I drooled over. Bottom line... what does it for you?

I'd repaint it B5 blue, but that is one of my favorite Mopar colors. You should paint it however you want to paint, since you will be the one who has to look at it everyday.

Candy red, black or winchester gray would look great in my opinion. Hell, even silver would look great with the two tone T/A scheme.

B5 is considered a high impact color. Looks great! I always have to be different. If everybody has a Purple/orange/red/lime green car, why have one like everybody elses. Trust me It stands out in a crowd when your different. Overall pick the color that's appealing to you. :2thumbs:

:iagree:  B5 is pretty cool, and a little different.

I didn't know that it was considered a High Impact Color?  I didn't think there were any blue shades of HIC?  :clueless:

Also

Pink
Grey/Silver
Red

are all nice as well.  I have a hard time with the black cars unless they are plain w/o the stripes/decals...and I like the decals...

If you have never seen a black/black car in person the pictures do not do it justice.
